My hubby and I are looking into having a little one, I'd really like to go the midwife/homebirth route, and I wanted to find a Christian midwife in our area.
Also, does anyone know if midwives/homebirths are generally covered (in some way) with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in VA?
Anyhelp would be great!
Re: Midwives in Eastern VA? Insurance?
I had trouble finding mine on my insurance website without knowing who she was first. Go to midwife.org and search them out that way. Then check your insurance website-- I have Anthem BC/BS too-- you may have to search several different ways to find them-- mine finally popped up with the address, of all things. Her name and credentials were listed, I just don't know why I couldn't search her out.
Then, when you are interviewing midwives, you'll have to figure out how you're going to go about the Christian thing.
I plan on playing some Christian music on my playlist whether my midwife enjoys it or not... it's about ME.
