I feel like I am being over monitored and I don't think it's necessary. He is having me come in every week for an ultrasound and every week everything looks great. I'm unclear how much of this my insurance will cover and I just want to be discharged already as we have no reason to think I will be a high risk pregnancy.
I feel bad posting this as I know some of you want more from your REs but I think this is overkill! I told them I am not coming in for a 10 week appointment but I will come at 11 weeks. I have an appointment for a first trimester screen with a perinatologist at 11 weeks 5 days so I am really hoping to be discharged before then.
Thanks!
Re: When did you graduate from your RE?
I still haven't graduated yet. But I suspect that I will after my 11 week u/s and appt. I think if you told them you wanted to be done after the next one, just tell them.
It does seem a bit much though going in every week....

For me I had 2 Beta's and then my first u/s with my RE at around 7 weeks. At the first u/s they told me I graduated and go ahead and call my ob/gyn. I had my first appointment back there the following week.

My RE gave me the option of going back to my old combo RE/OBGYN for the first U/S because it is covered under insurance there whereas anything at their office is totally OOP. While I would love to keep seeing them (it's like going to a spa), I am headed back to Kaiser to save money. I still have to report HCG/progesterone, and all ultrasounds to my IVF RE the day I receive them up until 12 weeks.

I agree... this sounds like overkill, especially since you said everything looks good. I was released at 8w2d, after two perfectly normal ultrasounds (one at 6w2d, one at 8w2d).
GL with graduating! Hope it happens soon!

I graduate at 11 weeks (I believe). My 1st appt. with my OB is at 8 weeks 5 days and I see my RE at 9 & 11 weeks.
I'm jealous you get weekly ultrasounds:) I was kind of sad that they aren't doing my next one for two more weeks.
It's wonderful things are looking great, I think if you don't want to go every week, you shouldn't have to.
This. We had one u/s and were released at 6 weeks 4 days.

Our IVF miracle, Baby Boy M, arrived on 11/8/2012!
My RE graduates his patients later than most of the others. I had weekly ultrasounds until I was 12 weeks. My insurance did cover everything though. I didn't even pay a co-pay for them. It was nice, since I was 100% OOP for all treatments. They told me they coded it under a regular pregnancy.
I also saw my OB for a regular appointment around 9 or 10 weeks and then for the NT scan at 12w4d.
TTC #2
My RE released me at 8 weeks, but mostly because that is the point that my insurance would start covering my u/s and appts at an OB. I am totally OOP for IF and it cost me $800 at the RE for monitoring during my first month on pregnancy.
Honestly, I think it is great that you are being monitored so closely and if your insurance will pay for it and it's not too far from your house then why not keep it up? Since switching to the OB I feel like just a number and I actually miss my RE's office already (it's only been a week).

After 10 weeks of bedrest, our two little ladies joined us at 28w6d
After learning I was pregnant...my RE drew 3 betas...which were pretty low to start with (23, then 58, and then 1,010). I was so scared the pregnancy wasn't viable.
After my 3rd beta, they wanted to confirm uterine pregnancy, so I had an ultrasound at 5w3d. At that appointment we only saw the gestational sac.
They had me come back about 10 days later. At 6w6d, we heard and saw the heartbeat They released me to my OB that day
