I like them. I have a few Feltman outfits and shortalls from sellers on Etsy for DS to go to church in. I feel that I would like to have some " special" baby outfits for my son--- so I can save that and give to him to pass on to his children--- that aren't just t-shirts and cotton onesies. My mom gave me the little dresses and outfits she saved from when I was a baby while I was pregnant....it was fun and neat to have them.

My mom was SO excited when she found out I was having a girl. As soon as I told her I *suspected* it was a girl based on the NT scan, she pulled out all my old dresses that she had saved. lol. The first thing I told her when I called after our gender determinations u/s was that she didn't have to put the clothes back away.

This. My DSs each wore them for more special occasions.
I think they're cute too and there really aren't a lot of great, dressy options for boys. DS wore shortalls for his baptism and first Easter and everyone loved his outfit.

These are cute:
What you posted just makes me think of stuffy rich folk. I think it is more specifically just the blue and white striped ones that bother me so much.
PS smocked fabric doesn't belong on a boy.
