Weights for Jillian Michaels...

I know some of you are doing the 30day shred..I just bought the tape and was previewing it...I can't tell if she is using 3 or 5lb weights. Do you use 3lb or 5lb weights? I know its really not much of a difference, just wondering what you all use.

  • I use 2 lbs for certain reps and 5 lbs for others.. My arms aren't very strong though!

     (I have lost 2 lbs so far and am on day 8)

  • haha yeah I have to keep 9 months of not working out in  mind! I only have 5lb weights maybe I'll pick up 3lbs today...way to go cbee!! I am starting today I'm excited to get started with it!

  • I use 5lbs.
  • I can't remember exactly now (did the 30DS 3 yrs ago) bit I'm pretty sure I started 3lbs and transitioned to 5lbs by the middle of the program.

  • The lightest weights I own are 8lbs.  So I use those as much as I can, then set them out and use just my arms as soon as I can't use the weights anymore. 

    If I had the option, I'd start w/ 3 and switch to 5 once it started to feel easy.
