This is probably very early in the game to be thinking about but it crossed my mind during my commute this morning. When do you get a pediatrician? I already have one in mind and they are affiliated with the hospital I will give birth in. Do they come see the baby in the hospital or do you just follow up after? TIA!

Our originally pediatrician was not hospital affilited, so we saw the on call peditrician.
We're going with midwives who are associate with a family practice. Our midwives can care for the baby up to a month after it's born and will make home visits at 48 hours and 2 weeks postpardum, then they can help us find someone in family practice that we like.
I prefer family practice because they look at the whole picture of what is going on in the family and look at mother and child as a breastfeeding couple rather than just the child and just the mother or father.
