Swaddling feet?

My DS gets a bottle a mini bottle to doze off and then I swaddle with one arm out and put him in the crib. He is fine until he wakes in the middle of the night and cannot stop flailing his feet. The swaddle is not constrictive enough to keep his feet from moving so I end up holding him down until he is asleep enough to not notice.

 

Any tips? DH wants to duct tape his feet to the mattress ;-)

    I put my daughter on her belly because of the flailing and because she fought the swaddle like a champ. It's worked like a charm!!!

    I am having the same issue. LO outgrew the swaddler and kicks himself out of swaddling blankets.  I don't know when it is "safe" to put your baby on his tummy to sleep.
