Question from a TTC'er :)

I'm a mother of two (6 & 2). Early miscarriage in between and this past October had an ectopic..but was able to save both my tubes. DH and I have been TTC for the past 4 months. I've been having a few awkward symptoms...and can't tell if they are pregnancy related or if I'm just sick...lol. I've had a dry/scratch throat, EXTREMELY bloated, very dry skin ( just recently), achy feeling body (almost flu like...but not quite there...on/off), and motion/car sickness. I get very nervous TTC due to the fact I've had 2 miscarriages, so excuse me if this question annoys anyone. Not my intention. I used to be very active on the bump and after my ectopic, I went away due to a lot of issues. I just know that this is a very good place to get an idea of maybe what's going on. Did anyone else experience these types of symptoms before finding out they were pregnant? I test on Friday. Thank you ladies very much

No way to tell without a test or a doctor visit. I did have flu-like symptoms the week before I found out.

Your not annoying me by asking questions. :0) I feel bad for TTC'ers who ask questions and get attitude. Like the previous person said, there is no way to know unless you test....but with that being said i've experienced everything you've said (except dry skin) during this pregnancy! I've been miserable!!!!! Good luck.

I didn't have any symptoms before my BFP so I would try to not to look too much into every little thing. Hopefully you get a BFP on Friday!

I also had scratchy/sore throat and extreme bloating before I tested positive. Fingers crossed for you

I had AF-like cramps but no other symptoms.

However, right around the time of my BFP (11dpo), I did come down with a bad cold/flu that turned into an ear infection. I'd read that it can be a sign of pregnancy but didn't really believe that... now, I'm not sure whether it was a coincidence or not.

I have been telling my DH that I feel like I am carsick. I haven't actually thrown up or anything. I just have the sensation of being carsick all the time. I didn't have that symptom until a few days after I tested. I tested at exactly 4 weeks. GL and I hope this is it for you!

I am one of the ones who had no symptoms at all before my BFP. The only thing I had was implantation bleeding, which I thought was AF fixin' to show up a few days early.

I did have a sore throat before my BFP. I didn't really have the other symptoms you mentioned. I had cold like symptoms, a cold sore, AF like cramps, and some moody-ness (which was very typical of my pre-AF mood).

Also, I believe that if you are having any symptoms that you think are correlated to pregnancy, then you should be able to turn an HPT positive.

I usually get AF cramps on CD 1-3 and that's it. With all 3 of my BFPs, I've gotten AF-like cramps at 7dpo. This time around I was sure they were just phantom since I was hoping to get them, but they were indeed real.

Everyone's different, though, and for many people even every BFP is different, so the only way to know is for you to take a test. Good luck!
