The one who just gave my kid an embarrassingly bad haircut. Oh. my. God. It looks so bad.

My mom assures me that someday I will laugh about it, but I almost cried at lunch. My mom was over my house and said that she could do it, but then I kind of took over because he was being too squirmy in my arms, so we switched. She thinks she wouldn't have messed it up and that makes me feel worse. I should have just let her do it. Sad

Aw, I'm sorry. Kudos to you for trying though. I'm scared to even try because I know that it would look like crap if I did it. Thank goodness my aunt does hair so if I do mess it up one day hopefully she'll be able to fix it.

Eh, he doesn't have enough hair to do a buzz cut...it's too wispy. But I will just have to wait a month or so, and it should grow out.

Aww I'm sure it doesn't look THAT bad lol. DH and I tried to cut Griffs hair last month and we didn't want to admit it to each other but it was crooked. MIL was like " Who cut Griffs hair??" lol. Oh well, its growing out so its hardly noticable now!

Oh no! I did that with L a couple months ago, and it was so bad DH made me take him to a real salon to get it fixed the next day. I haven't been allowed near a pair of scissors since...

I took J to Great Clips and the lady cut the hair at the crown of hi hwad too short so now it sticks straight up. It looks like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals, but a lot more hair sticks up.

LOL! My mom always cut our hair as kids & our bangs were always crooked. At least he's too young to rag on you for it!

We take DS to the barber. He's only cried once - all the other times he's good!

I felt that way the first time I cut DD's bangs and really nobody thought it was as bad as I did. Grew out really quickly too.

Wow, that was very brave of you! I'm sure it's not that bad and will totally grow out quickly. He's a boy so they're just lucky like that. Besides, it can't be any worse than my mom who cut off part of my brother's ear during his first haircut.... He was two and now he's 33 and STILL has a little notch there!

OP: I'm sure it will grow out quickly! Thankfully, he's too little to care. Maybe some hair gel? I can't believe all of you have babies with hair long enough to cut! I still have an almost baldie!

I cut Nicholas and John's hair all the time- since they were 11 months. They both have a ton of hair. Once I cut Nick's front way to short- it grew back in a very short time.

I kind of thought about trying to cut DS' hair myself the next time. He's been to the kid salon 3 times. I figured, why keep paying $20 for someone to take a few snips here and there? But, you just scared that thought right out of my head! LOL!
