I was just told I couldn't sing

By my son.  The Journey to Ernie Song was on and I was singing along.  G told me no.  I kept singing.  Then he came over shook his head at me forcefully and said no. I stopped and he nodded in a satisfied way and walked away.

    My mom famously tells a story about how when I was a little over 2 years old I told her to turn the music off in the car and when she asked why I replied with "cuz when you sing along it hurts my ears".

    Oh the honesty of a 2 year old!

    I must suck at singing, too.  L and I have this dialogue almost daily:

    L:  Mommy sing.

    Me: What would you like Mommy to sing?

    L:  Shine.

    Me:  You are my sunshine, my only sun---

    L:  NO.

    B does this too.  Particularly at bedtime.  The worst part is he lets my H sing at bedtime all the time, and my H can't carry a tune.

    They are too young to be music critics.
