Incision Pain Yr+ After Birth

Anyone else have pain along their scar/incision more than a year after your CS? It isn't often, but every once in a while, I get a searing pain along my scar. I suppose I should discuss it with my doctor.

  • I had pain for a long time after the birth of my first.  My OB told me that the searing pains may never go away.  Luckily for me, they did.  I'm now pregnant with my 3rd and still get a few pains which I attribute to uterine growth.

  • yeah every once in a while.  It has to do with nerve endings regenerating.  My dad told me that when he had his spleen removed when he was a teenager it took years for those quick pains to go away.

of course it is best to ask your dr. etc. and make sure it isn't something else but yes I do get it.
