So many of you I've followed for month after month (year after...?) and I love sharing this experience with you. So, if anyone's game/comfortable sharing, how about a little "Getting to Know You -better- Poll"? Yes, I admit I'm procrastinating at work.

Hi everyone!
Where (state, region, country?) do you live? I currently live in RI but just moved here from Miami, FL.
What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? I am working in the financial department for a technologies company but that's only until I can find a job teaching here.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? I just want to be able to raise well rounded, loving, polite, smart, honest considerate children (not a small order right?). I hope that we can be the best parents possible. I am also hoping that I can make it to our c-section date of 11/26.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? My favorite so far was my husband putting his arms around my waist, rubbing my belly and giving it a kiss...I've waited soooo long for that moment. It was on Father's Day and he had been a little leary of getting too excited. This was the 1st time that he just grabbed me and without hesitation, really embraced the pregnancy. Will remember it forever!
Where (state, region, country?) do you live? I live in CT.
What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? I'm an accountant.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Although it has gotten easier with each milestone, I'm a big time worrier and have been throughout this pregnancy. I don't think that will go away until this LO is in my arms though, that's just me!
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far?
Funniest was me and my mom in the same tiny bathroom stall at Radio City Music Hall so that she could give me my PIO. Anyone on the other side of that door must have been really confused if they heard anything we were saying!!
My favorite moment, well moments, have just been DH's reaction to seeing me change and the baby change in u/s's. During our last 3-d u/s, as soon as the baby's face was on the monitor, DH was like "looks exactly like me"... and it definitely did

Where (state, region, country?) do you live? Cleveland, OH. My whole life....
What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? I was in mortgage for a very very long time and have hated it for a very very long time.. When we got DH's dx last year we both decided that I needed a change and it would be ok if I quit.. I had been going back to school but am taking this semester and probably the next one off as well and see how it goes from there.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? I really hope I am able to be a good Mother. I am also a bit terrified of giving birth for a multitude of reasons!!
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? I think my favorite moment was when we saw baby for the first time. I really had no symptoms so it was hard for either of us to believe it until we saw baby and his or her heartbeat for the first time!

What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? I am a Disability Specialist for Social Security. I determine eligibility for Social Security Disability benefits for the citizens of Alabama.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Greatest fears were of course wondering if we would ever get pregnant. During this pregnancy, my bigges fear has been losing this pregnancy. My hope during our baby journey is that I always remember what it felt like and what it took to get here, and always show kindness and respect to others who go through a similar journey.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? The ultrasound where we found out Barrett was a boy tops the list, the emotional good bye and thank you to my RE when we graduated, announcing on Facebook and the support and happiness we got from our friends.
Where (state, region, country?) do you live? I live in VA.
What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? I'm a social worker.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Hopes: I just want to delivery two healthy, full-term babies ; Fears: That my body will let me down and deliver these babies before they are ready. I'm terrified of missing something in my own body that was a sign of something horrible to come.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? I've got lots. The ultrasounds are so fun. I love seeing the boys play/wrestle. And, telling our friends that were with us through this journey. Seeing their tears meant so much. As far as funny... When the RE told us it was twins, I started cursing up a storm and told the RE to "shut [his] face.". He said, "You look like you could be on the cover of a magazine- so innocent. Who knew you had such a foul mouth?!" I then became known as the girl who yelled at Dr. G. at the office. And, our most recent funny moment was at my last OB appointment when the OB was going over our A/S results and, while discussing our boys' big heads and little legs, looked over at DH and said, "Well, at least you know they are yours."

What do you do (for work or otherwise through out the day when not here with us )? I am a CPA. I do financial reporting.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Worried how good of a mom I'll be due to amount of work I do; worried about whether I am having a healthy baby (I am 34, will be 35 when baby is born; DH is 39 will be 40 when baby is born) w/ genetic abnormalities.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? Seeing the heartbeat - I can watch that over and over.
Thanks . I often embarrass DH since I have this horrible habit of making inappropriate jokes when I am uncomfortable. At my ET, he wanted to crawl under the table since I as all sorts of uncomfortable then. I definitely told the RE, "Welcome to the club" when she lifted the curtain on my lady parts (I had just finished telling her how every physician in metro DC had seen my vagina). It was a proud moment.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey?
Hopes: that I make it to full term and deliver a healthy baby. Fears: that I won't make it to second trimester. I'm feeling mostly positive, but I have moments where I still can't believe this is actually happening.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far?
My favourite moment so far, that all out made me cry was a text message that I received from my sister:
"Isaac {who is my 5 year old nephew} told us that he wants to be the one which prays at every meal now because he wants to pray for your baby every time. I asked him if he wanted to tell you this and he said no. You would know he prayed when the baby is born alive"
I bawled my eyes out after reading that, and I was so touched by the faith children have.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey?
Hopes: A healthy baby who is beautiful on the inside and out
Fears: A less than perfect follow up a/s.
We learned on Monday that she may have a pelvic kidney, and that it might be fused with her other kidney. We know that she can function normally that way, but I just want her to have the best start and for everything to be okay, which I'm sure that it will because I've been doing extensive research on this!
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far?
Favorite moment was the 20 week a/s. I became so attached my daughter and developed such a strong urge to protect her after that appointment. I'm starting to finally understand the love that parents have for their children, and it's both awesome and overwhelming. I seriously feel like my heart might explode from happiness this week.

What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? I work for UC Berkeley's endowment.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? I just don't want her to feel what I felt growing up, that nothing was good enough for my mother and that her always being stressed out was our fault. She was young and worked hard and my dad didn't help much. I want my daughter to feel safe, loved, supported and encouraged in whatever she does. Anything beyond that is less important.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? I'm pretty fond of this moment from my shower w/ (from right) hubby, me, BFF, and her boyfriend:

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey?
Hopes - That I can be a good mother, and that my daughter grows up to be a sweet, strong, intelligent, confident woman.
Fears - That something may happen and I don't have my take-home baby. Or that she is born with something wrong with her. Or that I am a terrible mother - that I lose her or break her. Honestly, there are tons of them!
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far?
I think the greatest thing was the first time MH felt her hiccup. The look of amazement on his face was priceless. Also going to visit him in Malaysia, since while he was gone I started showing, and started feeling her move from the outside. To show up there and him finally get to see and feel his daughter, it was so cool. Things suddenly felt more real to him, and he started getting all protective, very cute.
The funniest moment was probably the time I totally forgot I was pregnant and asked MH to grab me a beer. We laughed pretty hard about that.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? M/c or that something will be wrong with the baby. The mind is a dangerous thing!
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? Best memory so far is our first u/s at our RE's office. Seeing the baby for the first time was such an emotional experience. I got really teary-eyed when the nurse gave me our first printed out u/s photo...it just made it so real.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Greatest hopes I have is to be a good, fun but strong mom. I want my kids to feel loved and accepted, but also to be respectful and successful in whatever they chose. Greatest fear would be to fail at properly raising my children.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? Favorite moment was always "knowing" there was something wrong with from a previous c-section. No one believed me (even my RE was doubtful). I went through 5 medicated IUIs before finally having a lap, which shed lights on the issues cause by my c-section & infection. It was good to finally have something work out like I had hoped.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Greatest hope is that I go full term and deliver a healthy boy. Greatest fear is losing this boy. I've heard to many horror stories and after my m/c it is always in the back of my head.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? My favorite memory so far would have to be the other day when I felt him roll for the first time. I have definitely been feeling him move and kick but this was a definite roll. Scared the crap out of me but after it happened I started cracking up laughing. My entire stomach rolled forward and it was a much different feeling inside then the little kicks he has been giving me.
Where (state, region, country?) do you live? MA.
What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? Artist and designer. I'm taking a few weeks to pack/move right now, though.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Like many of the other twin moms-to-be said, I'm very worried about delivering too early. My biggest hope is that the babies are born full term (for twins), and that DH and I can be great parents to them.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? There are so many!! Seeing my first positive HPT in 3+ years of TTC, and then watching the line get darker every day was pretty amazing. Another favorite (and funny) moment was realizing that I was seeing twins on the 7-week ultrasound about a second before the tech told us, and then watching DH's face as he heard the news :-). Telling my parents and my brother was awesome. Basically, I am loving every moment of this pregnancy after trying so hard to get here. Now, if only I could do away with all of my worries!!

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey?
Hope: that I raise a sweet, thoughtful, well adjusted, happy boy.
Fears: that I am going to suck as a parent. I also worry about the health and well being of my lo in utero.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far?
I think one of my favorite moments like many others was seeing a second line for the first time in my life. It wasn't really a happy moment though, as I was scared sh!tless and shaking like a leaf when I first saw it.
Favorite happy moment: graduation day and second u/s at re office- I saw my baby move for the first time.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey?
Fears--We did IVF so I still can't believe I'm really pregnant and this is happening. I also fear that our other "babies", our adorable dogs will have issues adjusting to no longer being the center of our universe. I hope and pray for a healthy child that can live life to its fullest. I hope that I have the wisdom and patience to give the child the care and nurturing it needs to get off to a strong start in life.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far?
DH is convinced that the ultrasounds annoy the baby. Our baby squirming around and shifting during the ultrasound only solidifies his beliefs. He did a great impression of the baby trying to shield itself from the prying ultrasound as I was getting dressed.

Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? I have been afraid of everything... I'm just a worrier by nature. Current fear is bedrest, current hope is going to at least 36 wks, no bedrest and working until at least 32 wks.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? I think the moment we found out we were having twins. I saw the two sacs instantly but it took DH a moment and then we it dawned on him was the coolest moment.

What do you do (for work or otherwise throughout the day when not here with us )? During the school year, I'm a 7th grade English teacher, but right now I'm a SAHW.
Greatest hopes and/or fears on your baby journey? Hope- that she will be happy and find an activity or something she is passionate about (I was a dancer and though I would love Olivia to dance, I would just love her to be half as passionate about anything)
Fears-DH has a learning disorder and I fear that she will struggle like him and IL's will tell her she is incapable of being successful like they told DH his whole life.
Funniest/favorite moment/story in your journey so far? My favorite moment was receiving the message from my RE that I was pg. I was in the school parking lot and just started screaming and crying in my car.
