Yesterday I noticed very light brown spotting on my panties, but not in my urine or when I wipe. Today when I wiped I noticed light brown spotting on the tp but not in my urine. Yesterday I had my 2nd u/s n got to see heartbeat flicker n 4th beta was a lil over 14,000. Should I be concerned? It's too late to call my RE n am out of town till late Friday.

brown is typically old blood and isn't a huge concern. I would call the RE anyway just to see what they say. And it never hurts to drink extra water and get your feet up. good luck

Tell your RE, but I wouldn't worry too much. I had brown, red and pink spotting around that time, so I know how scary it is. It is likely old blood caused either by implantation or suppositories ( if you're taking them).
1st tri can be scary, but hang in there!

I'll be 6 weeks on Friday and I have been having brown spotting (old blood) for a little while. I was told that is somewhat normal. I am trying not to freak out too much but plan on talking to my RE on Friday at my u/s.

Brown blood, I was always told, is old blood and nothing to worry about unless it was more of a AF flow. Red blood is new blood and potentially something wrong. I think with a little brown spotting you are fine but I would call your RE for piece of mind when you get a chance.

Thanks for your info ladies. Just spoke to my nurse and she said it is nothing to be concerned about can be old blood b/c it's light brown spotting. She also said it could be from Tuesday's ultrasound. She said to drink more water n rest when possible but no need for bed rest.

I have read that your cervix gets very sensitive during pregnancy and can cause you to spot after an exam or u/s. I am sure you are fine especially if its brown but you can always call your dr just to be sure.
