Baby name came to me in a dream?!?!?!

Okay so I'm not usually weird like this but last night I had a dream and my baby kept telling me his name was Oliver and that it needed to be Oliver. This isn't a name my husband or I even thought about. We were debating over 3 others but this one was never on our list. I don't know how my hubby feels about Oliver...I don't know how I feel about it either but thought I would share this lol :) 

 

Has anyone else had weird dreams about what their baby name was going to be???

    No but I think Oliver is such a cute name!  I think you should go for it!

    I love the name Oliver.  This was at the top of my list for boys.  DH did not like it since he looked up the meaning and found something random that he did not like (can't remember what it was).  I say go for it!

    I think it's a lovely name. I believe I suggested it early on but it was vetoed by the husband. 

    I think if I had a dream like this I would start arguing with the little one. "No, I assure you... your name is Elias! Your father and I have had it picked out for some time now!"

    That is how my son got his name.... DH and I could not come up with a name and I had a dream we were at the hospital holding him and kept calling him Alec..... I told DH and he's said "I like that" and I did too so Alec it was :)

    I had a dream about a month ago that this baby's name was Nolan.

    DH vetoed it.

    a midwife i work with swears her baby told his name in a dream & when i told her i was having trouble deciding on a name- she told me to ask the baby. so every night before i fall asleep i ask her what she wants it to be- Oliver is a great name!

    YES.  The second dream I had about mine, his name was William.  It wasn't even on my shortlist even though Liam was. The more I think about it, the more I like it...

    I had a dream that we named our baby Milo.  Like you, I had never even considered that name before.  And I didn't really consider it much after I woke up.  I decided it reminded me too much of a dog.

    Though Oliver is on our list of potential names -- I think it's adorable!

    My mom named my sister Biljana after she had a dream of calling a baby girl by that name (she was team green at the time). The weird thing she swears when my sister was a little girl she looked exactly like the little girl in her dream.

    I've never had experience with baby names in dreams, but my DD has decided that her little brother's name will be Oliver. She tells EVERYONE his name and we have received many negative comments b/c of it ... I'm so glad to read some positive feedback about the name!

    I agree! I actually love the name but haven't gotten a positive response from family or my hubby. I think it is such a cute and handsome name though!

    Funny - not me, but our second kid was unammed for over 2 days and was napping with daddy one afternoon and when my DH woke up he said, "Hey, I just had a dream and I think we should name him X."  It wasn't on our list or under consideration, but fit our kiddo perfect so we used it. 

    Two boys already - ages 5 and 3...

    No baby name dreams for me, but I also really like the name Oliver.  I'm surprised people have heard a lot of negative feedback about it though.

    Oliver is on our boy name list; LOVE IT! What a great name! I think we should all pay attention to our dreams :)

    Good job with your dream, I haven't had any name dreams.   I love that name.  It's one I would choose if my cousin hadn't already taken that name for his son a few years ago.
    D & R were born at 37w5d.

    We're naming our son Oliver, so obviously I love the name and think it's a good choice. ^_^ I say go for it.
