Bleeding & Freaking Out updated!

This is my second pregnancy. This morning I felt the baby move a bit, but I haven't felt anything since then. I haven't overdone anything and I've been lazy most of the day. A little while ago I went to the bathroom and had bright red spotting with a little brownish spotting here and there. I never had this during my first pregnancy. What's worse is I've been feeling kind of achy in my back -- kind of like I would if I cleaned too much at once. It's not unbearable, but it's irritating. I just got off the phone with my sister -- I'm watching her two kids and I told her to come get them immediately, and also called my mom to tell them to come this way in case I need a car to go to the ER. I haven't called the OB yet -- I'm waiting for someone to get here since I only have Skype for a phone and right now it's being spotty (Hah. I can make puns while freaking out!). I just need some reassurance from those who've gone through this that it might be okay and not everything is lost yet!

FYI: My ticker says 17 weeks, but actually I'm more than likely 22-23 weeks since my cousin is in her 20's and she got pregnant after me. I have yet to be to the OB for my first visit, and my first visit is tomorrow (financial issues). So yeah...bad timing.

is it in your underwear, dropping in the water? or is it just when you wipe?

So far just when I wipe. It's not a huge amount or anything, it's like the very beginning of a period. I think I caught it right as it started.

one of my good friends had spotting throughout her pregnancy, she was told to take it easy (which it sound like you're doing) and later put on bed rest around when her 3rd tri started. BUT she was absolutely fine and so was her little baby boy.

I'm sure this is nothing to worry about either. All the best.

Cervical erosion is very common and sounds like what you're having as long as it's not accompanied by abdominal cramping and it's only when you wipe. It's basically a popped blood vessel in the cervix. But you should absolutely call your OB asap any time you have bleeding. Best of luck!

i just went through this on tuesday, had a little bit of spotting called my doc and he had me go to the hospital and get checked out and everything was fine it was just a fluke he said so im sure things are just fine. maybe when you felt the baby move LO might have kicked your cervix. GL and i hope you get answers soon

So an update: I went to the ER today. I was still spotting when I got there, but not as much. After forever I got some not so amazing news: My hormone count is low, I have bacteria in my blood, a yeast infection, and the ultrasound tech couldn't detect a heartbeat at the time. My back still aches, but not nearly as much now. I'm going to the OB tomorrow for my appointment and hopefully they'll know what to do and everything will be fine. I'm just trying not to stress out and keep off my feet as much as possible for the time being.
