On Monday my LO learned how to stand up in his crib. Now I can't get him to go to sleep on his own! He was doing so well putting himself to sleep and now it's all out the window. He immediately stands up and cries when I put him down. I don't think he knows how to sit yet. The only way I have gotten him to sleep since are to either go for a walk or nurse him to sleep. Is there anything I can do?? Or do I just have to wait it out until standing is no longer exciting?
Re: Standing in crib...
I just let DS figure out how to sit back down. If you go in and lay them back down, it becomes a game to them.
Its hard to deal with the crying but it will stop. LO is just learing they can do all these new things and are pushing the boundaries. This is also typically a time of sleep regretion, it wont last long. I promise!
Try putting on a sleep sack. That way he won't be able to get up so easily.
It worked for my daughter.
