Hemorrhoids?

I gave birth a week ago and still have a pretty nasty hemorrhoid from delivery. I'm using a cream and stool softener but I find sitting only aggravates it and delays the healing. Given I'm nursing all the time and not supposed to be out and about, I feel like I'm going to be stuck with it forever. Anyone been through this and have any advice?

I had one that got pretty bad from pushing but it was back to normal by 2 weeks pp. Sits baths and make sure you take your stool softener cus if you're straining to go poo it will hurt and make it take longer to go back to normal. I also tried to be up as much as I could even though I was stuck in the house and I think that helped, good luck I hope it gets better soon cus it is so annoying!

  • preparation h, witch hazel pads and eating prunes helped a lot! :)
  • I am so sorry you're going through this, I (and I'm sure many on the board empathize with you).  My hemies were agonizing and are the only thing keeping me from thinking of having another baby...labor and delivery was nothing compared to the pain of the hemmies.  Now that I'm 7 weeks I'm finally feeling 100% better down there, so there is an end to the misery even though it may not feel like it.

What helped me was a combination of tucks witch hazel pads; Sitz baths, stool softener, Dermoplast spray, and tons of fiber and water.

    Good luck!
