Blood sugar in 300-400's!

YIKES,,,, yesterday my sugars were out of control..trouble started after lunch when I ate 1/2 cup of tomato soup and my sugar was 255 2 hrs after. The rest of the day it just continued to rise to the 300s and was 400 at bedtime. Back to norms (100s) this am.

Saw my endo MD today and he is convinced it was just a fluke or errors on my monitor. Has this happened to anyone else??

    I'm on the pump, so that happens when there's a pump problem or site issue...or, could be if you're on insulin, make sure your bottle isn't past it's due date!

    type 1 or GD? I'd say check your strips/heat of your monitor/insulin expiration date. I know I got a shipment (of 900) strips a few months back, all expired, I was furious and had to get an emergency supply granted to me. And for that to happen after tomato soup! If you're on an insulin pump, replace the infusion set and insulin and try again. I'd say it was probably a fluke but make sure you monitor it to ensure it wasn't another kind of issue!
