that got post eclampsia or postpartum pre eclampsia? I got it and its really scary and wasnt sure if there were any other moms that got it. right now I am on blood pressure meds and i feel like it will be forever. just need a little hope I guess

    I had pre-e, and my blood pressure stayed really high for about 6 weeks pp. It's finally started to get lower (so I've avoided meds), but it took a while.

    No, I didn't realize that postpartum eclampsia existed... I had pre-eclampsia, and had to monitor my blood pressure to make sure it dropped, but once that happened a week post partum, I was fine... I hope that your blood pressure straightens out!

    me too.  I guess it decided to spike the night I went in to get induced it was 150+/90+. I havent had any protein in my urine so I guess thats a good thing. and of course in er they tested me for everything cardiac which I knew that was fine and it was. this just  sucks he wont release me to the gym or anything yet :(. now I am starting to dry up my milk so I can diet and get the rest of the weight off to help bring down my blood pressure. his medical assistant said that would help it today when I talked to her. I have a ton stored in the freezer and I have had to do formula and milk since I dont get alot so its not a big deal to dry up. just stinks all this happened. I had the perfect pregnancy till I went into labor.

    Same here. My blood pressure spiked after having the LO. (It was fine thoughout the pregnancy.) The drs said that I had HELLP symptom (elevated liver enzymes and low platelet counts) plus very high blood pressure. (level of pre-eclampsia)

    I'm currently on blood pressure meds. I went to my 6 wk OBGYN check up yesterday and my blood pressure was still high. They said that I need to now see a primary care physician for next steps. I have an appointment tomorrow to see what my next steps are. =( I would love for this to just go away. I was very healthy pre-pregnancy and during pregnancy.
