Every November, my fiance and I go on a week long vacation to our favorite city. The week involved a lot of "go...go...go..." and absolutely no relaxation time.
I figure around that time I will be 6 months pregnant. I've never been pregnant before so can any of you veteran Moms tell me if it's a good idea to cancel or do you think it'll be fine?
Re: Should we cancel our vacation?
Well, I do advise that you need to take a bit of a break but as long as you can handle, there is no reason you should have to cancel. The most you'd have to deal with is some back pain and achy feet.
Have fun

I wouldn't cancel. When I was 7 months pregnant I did a crazy camping trip in August in the South of Spain--it was insanely hot, but I chugged water and just kept up my regular pace. I had a lot of energy at that point and since we didn't have another kid running around yet it was a very nice, relaxing trip for us.
ETA: Also, ditto PPs, you can slow down a bit this vacation. Still do some of the things you have in mind, but take some time to just chill. You can find a happy balance.
What is that -- like 28ish weeks? You should be fine but I'd checking in with your OB first. At 28 weeks I felt like a rock star but by 31-32 weeks I started swelling so a vacation would have been harder. Would you be able to get your money back if you guys need to cancel closer to November? If so, I'd keep the plans and gauge how you feel closer to.
You'll be fine. I went to Scotland for a two-week backpacking trip.

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34
Ditto this!

I definitely think you should go but you will need to factor in a little more rest time in your day. You'll likely tire quickly in comparison to previous vacations so you have to listen to your body.
DH & I went on vacation this week and I've already started to notice that while I can do what I used to it leaves me more exhausted by the end of the night. We walked about 3 miles into Vancouver, WA from a light rail stop in Portland & back (6 miles total) plus all the city walking we'd done in Portland and I needed to take more breaks. When we got to Vancouver I was starving & thirsty and by the time we got back I was exhausted!
I see no reason not to go unless you & your husband refuse to factor in relaxation time. If you aren't willing to give your body a break while you're there you should reconsider.
NO, don't cancel your vacation. I've been traveling and doing all the "go, go, go" stuff. I wouldn't want to miss out on anything I have the opportunity to do before LO arrives.
We also have a huge trip planned in 3 weeks - I'll be 31 weeks. I wouldn't dream of cancelling.

This! I felt great during my 5th to 8th month. So I would say you should definitely go!!! Like PP have said make sure that you let your OB know that you are going; just in case something happens.
