My water broke on Sunday evening

Ugh, scariest day of my life. My water broke at 4:30 on Sunday afternoon. The midwife on call met me at the birth center and did tests to verify that it was indeed my water. Then it was off to the hospital, where I have been since. Spent 36 hours on L&D, on total bed rest taking a bunch of medications. Then moved yesterday to a more long-term room to try to keep baby baking until 34 weeks. I will be here until I deliver. We had a detailed ultrasound, and baby looks great - measuring a little ahead and taking "practice breaths" on her own already. I feel fine, too, physically, but of course this sucks. H has been great. Let's hope we at a July baby in there at least, not a June one. So, anyway, that's what's going on.

I'm so sorry! it happened to me a week ago, I was waking up about this time and realized I had NOT peed on myself. I didn't lose much water, they think it's a "high leak" so they kept me for 5 days and now I'm home on bedrest, watching for signs of leakage/infection which will send me right back to the hospital
My baby was measuring about a week ahead and about 5lbs, which is definitely reassuring.
are you still hooked up to an IV and continuous monitoring? Can you get up to the bathroom yourself? Once I had a bit more freedom to be "unhooked" I did better emotionally. Ask for TONS of pillows (i made a nest with about 5) and enjoy the room service if you can
I didn't mind having someone bring me pancakes, eggs, and bacon in bed every morning. I am awake now and craving that but it would probably be wrong to wake dh up to cook for me 
do you have a laptop/ipad with you? I watched the entire first season of Revenge n 24 hours, now I've moved on to The Wonder Years.

oh, wow. i'm sure this isn't how you were hoping things would go, but it sounds like you are all doing great. i am grateful for that. keep the updates coming and your spirits positive.

Positive thoughts, Mama! Sounds like this is a good time to catch up on crap tv and trashy magazines and plenty of Bump time too - ha!
