  I put ours in a trash bag and back into the original box. We keep it in the basement, but we have a dehumidifier down there too. I would think as long as you don't store it anywhere with extreme temps or high humidity you'd be fine with just a trash bag. Use a clear bag and it will be easier to identify in the future.

  My DH said to use a trash bag too. I know that is more cost effective. We have a dehumidifier too so your right, it should be fine.
