Back in the hospital :(

So with my crazy delivery last month I was diagnosed with HELLP (that's why they induced). The reason I had gone in that day was for severe abdominal pain. Well it has happened 3 times again since I delivered, this afternoon being the worst yet.

The concern now is that my liver issues either damaged my gall bladder or I have gall stones or it's still my liver. I know there are some ladies on here who have dealt w/ gall bladder issues so hopefully you have some advice/insight for me. I'm waiting for my ultrasound results now and then we'll know more. We're actually hoping its my gall bladder and not my liver.

I am sorry- I was warned so many times in the end of my pregnancy with my pre-e about HELLP. I hope you get well soon- and it is only an issue with your gall bladder.

I hope it is your gallbladder, as that can be easily removed. I had.mine removed.several years go and the attacks I had from were horrendous..almost worse than the.ring of fire! Thinking goood thoughts for you. Bumping from phone, excuse typos

Oh no! I have friend who had issues with her gall bladder, she said the pain was worse then labor! I hope they figure out what's wrong soon.

Thank you ladies! It looks like it is my gall bladder & a stone escaped earlier today. We're doing antibiotics now and probably removing it in the morning. The pain this afternoon was awful. It was absolutely comparable to labor but worse b/c there were no breaks.

My mom has the kids & she came by so I could nurse K, which was great. Now I'm pumping away. Unfortunately I hadn't frozen much of a stash yet so I don't know if my mom will make it through the night with enough milk. Makes me kind of sad to think she'll get formula since nursing was going so well. I just hope she comes back to BFing after all this...

She will! Just keep at it. It might take a little while but if you're determined she will get it again.

Also I'm glad it's your gall bladder!

I'm glad it's your gall bladder and you can get it resolved. K will come back to BFing. Are you at the same hospital where you delivered? If someone has a moment, request that an LC come by to talk about K's nursing and coming back to BFing.
