do I actually need maternity nylons?

I rarely wear nylons, but don't mind them when I do.  Do I need maternity or can I just go up a size in regular ones?  I weigh the same as pre pg and I just have a little bump (the event is on friday, so not that far away).

Re: do I actually need maternity nylons?

  • I bought maternity tights for my work xmas party.  I'm a sucker for maternity stuff, j/k.  I actually heard that regular tights and nylons don't go up over the belly and roll down and are not comfortable.

  • I bought maternity ones and I think they were a waste! I didn't see the difference in those and regular

  • Ugh.  I hate nylong anyway.  I couldn't imagine wearing them pregnant!  Anyway, I think you would probably be fine in one size up.  I might even try on a pair you already have and wear them around the house for a while to see if they bother you.  I'm just not a fan of buying something to use once.

  • I wore reg tights for t-day... they were pretty uncomfortable because they kept rolling down.  Maybe up a size would help, but I'm going with maternity tights next time.

  • I wear maternity nylons/tights almost every week.  They are not the most comfortable things in the world but they are 1000x more comfortable than trying to wear regular nylons.
  • I bought thigh-highs in a pinch because I needed some hose and didn't have time to go to Motherhood. They were perfect!

  • I have moved to thigh highs....they are much better than my hose.  I wear them everyday to work that I wear skirts.

  • Buy one size up...AND make sure they aren't "control top". ?I accidently did once and that was a painful disaster.

  • If you get the reg. ones don't get the tummy control. Mine are starting to roll up under my belly. If possible I would go with the maternity just to be more comfortable.
