IUI #1 (Follistim switched over to Menopur injections) - BFN

Attempted IUI #2 (Menopur injections only cycle) better response on the Menopur then the Follistim combination treatment cycle however my cycle was still canceled due to my eggs not maturing and follicles not growing enough on a high dose of Menopur (Re said I could try a cycle of comid + ovidrel  for an IUI) for my second IUI( praying this works for us)

Clomid + Ovidrel protocol worked still a BFN as a result

Attempted cycle  Clomid  + Ovidrel protocol for IUI # 3 (Unable to do this cycle due to a cyst)

Re: Using a basal thermometer

  • I find it very helpful. I keep my BBT right next to my alarm clock. The alarm goes off, I turn on the BBT and stick it in my mouth, then shut off the alarm. Every day. It has a memory on it, so even if I fall back to sleep afterwards, the temp is saved for when I wake up again. The more consistently you can take your temp (same time, same room temp, etc) the better results you'll have. I use Fertility Friend to track the temps and it is SUPER helpful. It really is a lot easier than it may seem.

You can get a BBT at any drug store or in the pharmacy section of WalMart or the food store.

Also I've heard that your temperature will stay high if your pregnant? how high above your regular temperature does it have to be? thanks for all your advice about this.

  • I agree with pp, fertilityfriend.com is probably the best and easiest place to answer all of these questions and any more you can think of.  As for where to get a thermometer, I had one from Walgreens and it started giving me the same temps for days in a row.  I switched to the Mabis brand thermometer that Walmart sells on the recommendation of many of the ladies here.  Good luck temping.
