Nervous but so excited!

in 1st Trimester

Hi! My first pregnancy I had a miscarriage, and my second pregnancy I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She's almost 4 and we decIded to try for another one, it took about 8 months, but finally I am pregnant. 5 weeks now. I'm just so nervous about having another miscarriage. since its happened before and it runs on both sides of our family. I hear it is more common in first time pregnancy, is this true?

    I've heard that as well, but I'm not sure.  Something that might help you out is the Pregnant After a Loss board.  I do know that miscarriages happen to 1 in 4 women, so there are a lot of women out there who know what you're going through.

    When I worry about having a m/c I tell myself, "Today I am pregnant and I love my baby".  (It's something I read here)

    I don't know if that is true or not. My m/c was after my DD. I think it is random.

    BFP 11/09 - DD 7/10 - BFP 8/11 - M/C 9/11 - BFP 6/12 - DD - 2/13

    I m/c on my second pregnancy as well. I don't think it's just a first time thing. Try not to stress though!
