I am really wanting to do a gray nursery this time. I want to paint the walls a shade of gray and use some gray touches (maybe a gray crib, white furniture, gray bedding, accents, etc). However, our carpets are more brown. The shade is called "cocoa mist".
Any thoughts on how this would look?
Any pictures of this done well?
Thank you!

This!! Rugs are always cute on nursery's!! But it's not really any different than brown wooden floors.
Rugs are great. Agree with PP: You might think of it this way...most hardwood floors are brown tones. This was my first thought.
In my DS room, we have the same light wood floors that are in every room in our house.
Ill be the lone disenter. I dont think brown carpet = wood floors. A cool gray and a dark brown wouldn't look right to me. Can you replace the carpet? A painted subfloor can look really chic.
We have a light brownish (more latte/mocha) rug and are painting our nursery gray. I think it looks totally fine. DH is painting as we speak, so it's not picture worthy at this point, but I'll take a photo as soon as it's presentable.
ETA: I just remembered that our guest room is gray too (the nursery will be a darker gray). Here is a photo of it and our rug.
Not exactly the same thing but I asked about using dark wood furniture with grey and got only positive responses so I went for it. We have light carpet and light walls but you can see the mix of the dark woods with grey accents.
