My heart just broke.

I'm at work and an 18 month old little girl came in bleeding alllllll over the place. I guess she was at some bird show and got too close and an amazon bird actually attacked her. We can't do a lot for little kids with cuts as severe as hers, so I cleaned her up and put dressings on the cuts to stop her bleeding or at least slow it down, but I wanted to cry while I was doing it.

And the saddest thing is, she kept saying "You made it all better" everytime I covered up a cut, with tears running down her little cheeks. I just wanted to hug her, but I figured her mom probably wanted to get her somewhere to get taken care of Sad I think it makes me more sad because she reminded me of DD.
