I need your help!
My son had his formula changed to Similac Sensitive on Friday for gas/fussiness and I am happy to say that it definitely helped, a lot! But...
I had him sleeping in his crib the last two weeks and he did fine, even gave me a 4-hour stretch one night (usually 2.5-3 hours). The last two nights, however, he will not stay asleep in the crib! I gave him his usual formula bottle, swaddle him, put on the white noise, and leave him super drowsy in the crib like I always do. Less than five minutes later, he is crying for me... I hold him, once gave him more food because he was rooting. His diaper is changed, he is fed... what gives?? Then he continues to do this for hours... I'd put his Soothie in and he will stay asleep until it falls out.. which is minutes. I finally caved in last night around 3 A.M. and brought his RocknPlay back out and he gave me 60 or so-minute stretches until he was up for the day at 6:30.
Now he is swaddled and is resting/napping in his swing in the living room-- no crying... he slept in the swing for an average of 2-hour stretches the last two days too... Why isn't he sleeping well for me at night and not at all in the crib he's liked for days??!!
P.S. He hasn't had a bowel movement in over 24 hours, but apparently this is average for infants?!
HELP!!! Why could this be happening?? I'm going to call the pediatrician once they open but maybe some of you have had similar experiences??

I agree with PP on it being a growth spurt. In my experience when LO's go through a growth spurt and learn new skills they tend to wake more at night and sleep more during the day.
I had and am still having the same thing happen to me!!!
One thing that I have noticed with switching to Similac Sensitive is that DD really needs to get good burps out. If she doesn't then she sort of fusses on her back at night when putting her down. I'm assuming that she has residual gas bubbles in her tummy. It is also harder to burp since changing.
If you figure it out or if your Pedi tells you something would you PM me? I am curious to see what they say.
