really?!? re nasal congestion

i mean if morning sickness and spending all day in bed saturday because of exhaustion/stomach issues wasn't enough, now my sinuses start to drain. and my dh is not home during the week, so it is me working ft, raising a 3.5yo and 2yo and pregnant and sick. ugh....timing...at least i have my 1st appt in the am, so maybe they will help me breathe! vent over...

The increased estrogen in your blood stream is responsible for your increased congestion. I hate to break it to you, but if you've got it, you may have it for the rest of your pregnancy. I did with both of mine and it's already starting here with #3. Using a neti pot or sinus rinse (with purified/distilled water) helped tremendously.

Congestion was one of my first symptoms of pregnancy and now its coming back with a vengence. I don't have much advice as this is my first child that I'm pregnant with but maybe you can get some help fome family or friend close by. I'm a little miserable by myself so I can only imagine taking care of two children. Things will get better. Hang in there mom!

Same here. Everything with #3 is starting earlier and worse.

thanks ladies! hope you get relief soon, too. both kiddos woke up with stuffy noses, so maybe we have a cold. or maybe, as you all said, i am gonna have to live with it! wishful thinking it is a cold!

I was congested my entire pregnancy with DS- yay pregnancy rhinitis!

I got very accustomed to using my NeilMed Sinurinse from Target, I highly recommend it to anyone that has nasal congestion of any kind. It feels weird at first, but is totally worth it.

My congestion just set in this past week. It's not pleasant, but I'll take it over the morning sickness that has started to subside some. I never had it with my first, this pregnancy has been completely different in every way though.
