I haven't had my baby yet, but I love my MW and cannot imagine doing it any other way.

I'll never forget when she called me on her day off to check on me when I experienced a subchronic hemorrhage. She wanted to make sure I was okay and that I hadn't had any more bleeding. You cannot put a price on bedside manners, especially these days.

My H and I are really happy that we're using a midwife too -- the prenatal care we've gotten has been wonderful, and I love their approach to labor and delivery.  I'm also sticking with them afterward for my well-woman care rather than an OBGYN; they're really supportive of the Fertility Awareness Method, which we used prior to my getting pregnant and I hope to get back to afterward.  :)

Now that my LO is here, really miss my midwife! I, too, will see mine for my annuals. I can't wait until next year for that appointment.
