This is what we're leaning toward getting so I am curious about this as well! Saw it in person at the PBK on 2nd Ave and decided we'll probably go with the "low-profile" version.
My friend bought us the Kendall Crib. At first I wasn't sure if it was the style I wanted but it has worked out very well. It seems very solid but we have only used it for 3 months. The baby has slept in it almost every night and loves it or at least enjoys being in it. We needed a small crib due to the small room size and this works much better than I expected. I got the white one. Hope this helps, it is a great sale price!
I have two (we have two homes), and my mom bought the low profile version to have at her house. They have been very sturdy, even through taking apart and putting back together for a move and one of them being shipped overseas. The design is versatile and great for a boy or girl, which was a plus since we plan on having more kids in the future. I'm about 5'5", and although I can get DS in and out okay, even with the mattress on the lowest setting, I have to say that it's much more comfortable to do so with the low profile one at my mom's house, so if you're my height or shorter, I would definitely recommend that. The only "issue" with the low profile one is that the crib skirts don't really work when it's on the lowest level, although this is also true with the regular one for skirts over 12" in length.
