Schedule for a 10 week old?

I would really like to get my 10 week old daughter on a schedule, but I just don't know what schedule to follow.  I really wish someone would just say here is the perfect schedule... follow it! =)  I know every baby is different, so maybe you could just share the schedule that works for you and your baby?

Re: Schedule for a 10 week old?

  • My LO at ten weeks started this schedule (on his own, so I just go with it)

6am- wake up eat, change, play, 1.5-2hrs

    8am -nap 3hrs.

    11am eat, change,play 1.5-2hrs

    1pm nap 1.5hr

    2:30pm eat, change, pm 1.5hrs

    4pm nap 1hr

    5pm eat, change, play 2hrs

7pm bath, bottle, cuddle, story 1.5hrs

    8:30-9pm bedtime (sttn until 5:30-6am)

Hope this helps! I try to make sure he eats enough throughout the day to help him sttn.

  • That does help. Thank you.  Our daughter actually has a somewhat similar schedule going during daytime, but once evening comes it's a free for all.  She cluster feeds like crazy and then won't go to bed until sometimes midnight or later!
  • Try increasing her feedings by one ounce per feeding (if FF). It will cut down on the cluster feeding during the evening( though growth spurts will cause cluster feeding), I start cluster feeding late afternoon when I can tell LO is starting a growth spurt, that way I'm not up all night and neither is he. Will still go to bed at 9
  • For us:

6:00 - wake up & feed, then awake

    8:00 - nap

    9:00 - feed, then play

    10:30 - nap

    12:00 - feed, then play

    1:30 - nap

    3:00 - feed, then play

    4:30 - nap

    6:00 - feed, then play

7:30 - bedtime (I'd like this to just be a nap, but it seems to turn into bedtime)

Basically, we start the day at 6:00, he eats every 3 hours and naps in between.  All times are approximate. Some naps come earlier and then are longer.  Some are later, then they're shorter.  It's our schedule-ish.

  • Thanks for the advice, but I can't increase feedings because I breast feed.
