I'm about to start a new job and I'm desperately in need of a new wardrobe. Where do you shop? I want to find clothes that are high quality and stylish, but not super-expensive or too trendy.?
TIA!?

I love Ann Taylor Loft. They have great clearance racks and outlet stores. I have even found some really great deals at Banana Republic in their clearance section.
I think New York & Company might be a good place for that. I don't fit into most of their clothes, so I can't speak from experience, but it seems to me I see posts where people recommend it to each other. Don't rule out Old Navy - my very favorite pair of dress pants came from there and they were only $20.
Nordstrom is my favorite. ?I use the Personal Touch shopping service. ?You have a dedicated "personal shopper" to pre-shop for you and all you have to do is show up and try everything on. ?Best of all it doesn't cost any extra, and you can give them a $ amount to stick to.
I wear business suits everyday for work. I like Ann Taylor's sale rack, Ann Taylor Loft. Banana Republic but a bit more spendy and is good quality. Another good place to look is TJ Max, Marshalls or a Nordstrom Rack and look for Tahari suits or other brands that they have.
Re: NBR: where do you shop?
I like to find interesting pieces at Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie (mostly sale racks though!). Also H&M.
I'm going through this now, and focusing on a few basics, then throwing in "trendy" items from the stores above.
