Caved on induction..

just under a week overdue, induction started this AM...I just was so tired and sore and sick of pushing back with OB, who was concerned with me going over at my age. After a hard day yesterday, feeling like I was failing somehow, I told myself things don't go to plan, and I'd be grateful if this was the only thing that went against what I'd hoped for, and got a good night's sleep.

Sucks to be tethered to all this stuff, wish I could walk the halls. So far doing okay without pain meds after 8 hrs on pitocin, despite my fear that I would end up in that self-perpetuating cycle of pit making the contractions painful enough to want epi, then the epi slowing labor and needing more pit, etc. At least I get to walk around in the room and use exercise ball we brought with.

My contractions are about two mins apart on current dose, so there's no point in them upping the dose. I'm cautious, but really hopeful to limit further intervention.
