Oh MIL.. how you have no tact..

So I was over at my MIL's and we got to talking about pregnancy.. which she knows I'm OVER talking about. Anyway, she asked how my stretch marks are (uh.. rude!) but I told her that I've got them pretty bad but it's no big deal because DH doesn't mind and is actually very sweet about it. (It's his little man's house.. and he's growing and I just have proof!.. sweetie pie! lol) For Christmas, she bought me SEVERAL bottles of different kinds of stretch mark creams (thanks.) and I used them for a while but then when I saw the stretch marks, I stopped. Anyway, her exact words, "Well, I bought those creams for a reason.. I guess give them to Miranda (my pregnant SIL) since she'll use them.. notice, she doesn't have ANY because she respects her body..." I just kind of sat there questioning WTH "respecting her body" had to do with ANYTHING! I was just like.. woman, people either get them or they don't.. no big deal! Sometimes I wish it were legal to slap the piss out of MILs! :)

    I don't think you could find a jury in the world that would convict a woman of assault against her MIL.  12 people with perfect MILs?  Doubtful.

    Good thing it isn't legal because I don't think I could stop slapping my MIL if I started... and with family track record hold that woman will out live me! ugh!

    This is beyond not having tact. She was downright cruel. Is your DH going to say something?

    I don't know why some MILs are such morons. Hello, newsflash. Baby isn't going off without for a good long while. If you want to be around the baby, you need to be nice! Not that I would deliberately keep my child away from my MIL but I'm certainly not going to go out of my way or spend additional time with her if she's unpleasant.

    I'm pretty sure once I started slapping her.. I wouldn't stop!! After 10 years, I've got a LOT of anger built up!

    I absolutely feel your pain! This past weekend my MIL told me 10 times that I'm 'huge", and she went so far as to say she "couldn't even look at me, because I'm so gigantic". I was seriously on the verge of crying or screaming...
