which brand of pull up diapers

Which brand? huggies or pampers? I used pamper as diapers and thought I would stick with pampers for pull up or easy ups. But I hear there are pros and cons to both brands. Any advice? I know most of you don't use them because they are still diapers but for daycare they are requesting them until she gets familiar with potty training. TIA!!

Re: which brand of pull up diapers

  • Won't the daycare accept training pants?  That is what we send DD in to school.  She has the Gerber cloth training pants.  Much more like real underware than a pull up.  I would see if that will work, IMO.

  • Is your LO actively potty training right now?  Why is daycare requesting Pull-Ups?

I'm personally not a fan of Pull-Ups.  I think they just prolong the whole process because they feel so much like what they are used to, a diaper.  I would go with cloth training pants, like the PP said, because they feel like underwear.

I would skip the Pull ups and use training pants.

  • We use the Huggies Pull -Ups and love them. We tried Pampers and they leaked for our dd.

  • We currently are using Pampers Easy Ups as diapers/training pants at home (I'm still sending regular diapers to daycare). We've been casually introducing her to the potty and she has went #1 a few times but her training got derailed when she recently got an abscess (staph infection) on her bottom and we had to spend a week in Children's Hospital getting it cleared up. Once her incisions are healed we'll be back to working with her on it.

  • Instead of using "pull ups"  we are using the Huggies Slip-Ons. We bought one or two packs of Target brand Pull-ups (they seemed fine to me) but then realized that the "slip-on diapers" by Huggies were alot cheaper then the Pull-Ups in any brand (huggies, target or pampers).   I don't know see much of a differenece between the pullups and slipon diapers so for the price we are sticking to the slip-ons.   Oh and my DD is 16 months, in size 3 and is using the potty every time we change her and had just started to sign "potty" or go into the bathroom when she needs to go.
