I can't bring myself to say the word "panties" (shudders) it's on my "gross word" list. But I'm starting to think about the hospital bag. I've been told by a few friends to buy cheapie underwear because they will likely get ruined and end up in the trash anyways. I know they give you a few pairs of the mesh ones at the hospital, but I know those few pair won't be enough...so, I'm wondering what you all suggest...what brand, briefs or bikinis, etc? TIA!

Re: STM...let's talk underwear!
Haha, I can't say it either! I think it's my mothers fault...she would always say "panties" in a whisper like it was something not to be discussed, it always seemed so awkward to me. I like under-britches
But yeah, I curious on this questions too.
I'll stay in what the hospital provides for the first few days as that is when things are, well, the messiest.
After that point I'll probably just stick with my older classic cut/boy short pairs. This isn't the time to bust out some new underwear or lingerie.
Once things have calmed down (typically a few weeks) then I'll wear my nicer items and/or treat myself to some new boy shorts. (my favorites are from GapBody - love!)

yes, I agree. I love the cotton thongs when pregnant, although after delivery go with the hanes or fruit of the loom. I prefered the hipster briefs after my dd1. I grab 2 packets at target and after all the mess only have a few left. That is one thing I need to pick up.
LOL, I hate the word panties too. I took a bunch of the hospital mesh panties and I just washed them over and over. They actually stand up to repeat washes pretty well. I even still have them to use again this time! I loved those things.
I had a c/s so anything lower than a granny style was uncomfortable.
