the transition to sippy cups?
I tried to start substituting one bottle with a sippy and DS does OK, but is going through a phase where he takes a sip and lets the liquid run out of the mouth.
Did you replace one bottle a day with a sippy? Go cold turkey and do all of them? What if they didn't transition easy...did you stay at it, or take a break and revisit after a few days?
I'm wishing this would come easier for us ![]()
Re: how did you start...
We went cold turkey. I noticed that she was drinking more than dribbling so the next day, she only got her sippy. At first she was all WTH, but I stuck with it and she is golden now.
GL!
My daughter just doesn't like it, so I guess I feel kinda guilty forcing it on her.
When did I become such a sap?

Thanks all!
I'm going to attempt to give Andrew his morning bottle in a sippy instead. We will see how it goes.
I feel so damn pressured to have the kid drinking all outta sippies, walking, and potty trained by one (kidding)!
I really gotta learn to take it easy and not "sweat the small stuff".
We introduced the sippy awhile ago.. At first she didn't get it but now she does
I usually always carry it with diluted oj or pure water. The last two weeks though she's been getting cows milk in it during breakfast.
Oh and since she didn't "get it" in the beginning I still kept introducing it. She played and explored it until she just got it one day
We use The nuby kind
DD loves drinking from a sippy, but I'm still giving her bottles of BM during the day when I can't nurse her. When I dropped DD off with the sitter today, she told me she's been giving her bottles in her highchair so she has to hold it and drink herself. So I think starting tomorrow I'm going to put her BM in a sippy and see if she drinks it all.
We've been giving LO water in a sippy with her meals for a couple months now, but last night I have her WCM with her dinner to see how she'd do...and I don't think she even noticed a difference!
