Stroller w/o Carseat?

The post about the umbrella stroller got me wondering....do any of you use your stroller w/o the carseat?  I really want to use ours that way, but the manual recommends waiting until six months.  We have a Britax B-Agile and use the our Chicco Keyfit 30 carseat.  The B-Agile has a 5-point harness and recline.  The carseat makes it B less than Agile (sorry, I'm a cornball and couldn't resist) on our craptastic sidewalks.

    We have the B-Agile too and I've used it once. It's usually easier just to plop the carseat in when he is sleeping. I believe that if you put the seat all the way down and use the 5-point harness that it should be fine for walks. 

    ETA: Use it once without the carseat.... I wanted him to nap so I just put him in and walked him around our yard.

    We have a Graco stroller with a 5 point harness and use it frequently.  He gets SO darn hot in the car seat that I don't want to take him for walks in it.  We recline him back, so it's more like he's sitting in his bouncy chair or swing, and he loves it.  I don't see why that would be bad for him, but maybe I'm just an idiot.

    I use it when we go on walks and when we are out too. I just lay the seat back almost to the laying down position. We have the chicco stroller (not the umbrella stroller).

    I used just the stroller this weekend. (Chicco travel system) I reclined him back and let him sleep in the shade at the lake. I feel like he gets too hot in the car seat

    We took DD to Epcot a couple weeks ago, and had her in her Chicco stroller without the car seat- we just had it reclined, and she seemed totally fine and comfortable. It would have been way too hot for her to sit in a car seat.

    I have a graco lightrider- it only has a 3-point harness, but I use a snuzzler insert which keeps her stable. She loves going on walks and the carseat is too much of a hassle and she gets too hot in it.

    I was wondering the same thing. It has been so hot the past 2 weeks we haven't gone on a walk, but it seems likes he gets so hot in the carseat when I do take him. When I take him out his back is all sweaty and I feel bad. I wasn't sure if I could put him in without the carseat yet. I think at the mall or whatever I'll still use the carseat, but when we are just walking around the park I'll try just putting him the stroller to see how he does.

    I'll have to give it a go on our next outing.  I hate all the warnings with every product.  I know in most cases it's just CYA but I'm always afraid to not follow "rules".
