A boy named Morgan?

We have always loved the name Morgan for a boy. I realize that the girls have taken this name by storm. However its still know as unisex, at least in my mind. Like Jordan for example. So whats your opinion, can a not still be Morgan or is it too girly now?

The only Morgan I knew growing up was a boy and I think it was a great name. But now my brother's GF is Morgan so I probably wouldn't be able to use it as a boy name. I still like it for a boy though.

The only know two Morgans I know are female. But I don't think that means it necessarily is a bad idea for a boys name. Names go back and forth between male and female a lot nowadays. I know quite a few Jordan's, both sexes, and it never seemed weird either way. Go with what you love! Good luck!

When I see or hear Morgan I think boy not girl, even though I know a girl named Morgan from school. Same with Jordan, and Bailey but Skylar I think girl just cause my cousin is a girl. TMI but ya Morgan is good for a boy I like it

I think its fine. But I like unisex names. I'd just be sure to give a definitely masculine middle name (or something that could be used as initials) so he can go by that if he gets teased with is first name.

(I know a guy named Leslie who ended up going by his middle name, even though Leslie is technically unisex).

My DH's middle name is Morgan and when we were talking names it came up as well, we love Wyatt Earp and western movies and there were a bunch of Morgan's in them.

Ist person that comes to mind when I hear the name Morgan is Morgan Freeman.

It was on my boy list, but DH didn't love it.

I actually love the name Morgan for a boy. I'm a big General Hospital fan and one of the main character's son on the show is named Morgan.

I like it and as long as you guys like the name, that's all that should matter! My boyfriend and I are naming our daughter Rylee James and everyone tries to put their 2 cents in on the middle name, but you know what? The original name we had picked out, people kept saying they didn't like it and then the name didn't sound so great to me anymore. So now, I just tell them "it's my baby, and I will name her what I want." But I agree with everyone else, Morgan is a great name for a boy!

I think it's a GREAT name for a boy. Go for it! I personally don't like androgynous names for girls, so I never think of this as a girls name even though I used to have a friend named Morgan. I think it's perfect for a sweet little boy

I have never known any Morgans personally, but I have always seen it associated with girls. I have an online friend whose little girl is named Morgan. However, I don't see why it should matter if you name your little boy Morgan. I mean, there's Morgan Freeman. And he's awesome!
