Sweet Baby Jesus, the bedroom!!!!!!

Before anyone accuses me of favoring DD over SS, I instituted the same policy for both kids.  Since we are moving back to the States, into a much smaller house both children were given the same size Rubbermaid bin with lid - with the understanding that we would only pack what could fit into the bin - with DDs art table and makeup table & SSs computer, tv/gaming systems and gaming chair being exempt.

One ore thing, what clothes he did not pack in his two adult size suitcases were going to be donated as well.  Same thing with DD, except she only gets one adult size suitcase and DH and I get one each for our trip and one joint to be packed

SS has known about this policy for month's,  he as there the day I went through DDs room and did her toys and clothes.

But given SSs modus apperendi, he waited till last night to do it all.  He was warned every day this week.  He was told exactly what would happen.  He chose to do it, and do it half assed at midnight for his planeride back to his mothers this morning.

His box is half full and I am sure that there will be things he wants.. Infact he mentioned a couple things to DH in the car.

What kills me, is that  DH actually TOLD me this as he was waiting for SS to depart.  And I kept my tongue, mainly becuase DH just put his son on a plane for 7 weeks.

But then DH and I walked into SSs room and started to clean (we literally have 8 days till the movers are here).  We found items that we had been looking for FOR months, things that DH accused ME of moving and losing. Things we specifically asked SS about.

And the experiments that were growing in dishes throughout the room, stuffed in tiny and hidden places. I have absolutely no idea why we do not have roaches or ants at this point.

DH is livid and actually threw away BAGS FULL of stuff today, including the items SS was asking about.  And I told DH that there will be no food or drink (including water since we literally found 13 water bottles, not including the pop bottles, all over the place) will be allowed in the bedrooms in FL period.  That every time I find food or drink in his room, I unplug his computer for a 24 hour period.

I WILL NOT HAVE BUGS (The roaches are this size of buses in FL people) IN MY HOUSE.

And DH agreed.  He also has decided that SS will have to Put away his clean clothes after every washing becuase we have no idea what clothes on the floor were clean, dirty, still fitting him or too small.

Ladies, we still have at least 10 bags worth of crap to get rid of. And over here, we have to recycle in the craziest way. This is a three day endeavor.

And it is ALL DHs job.

Didn't anyone (by anyone I mean DH) ever walk in there and tell him to clean it? We don't allow SS to have anything in his room even water for the same reasons. Boys are gross.

SS has SO MUCH CRAP.  He has two full bookcases, a dresser and two plastic drawer thingys on top of his wardrobe.  He squeezed this stuff between books, in drawers, under a one of his grade school trophyes, etc.

So even when it was "clean", you would ahve had to look around things to see it...ewww.

  • He just lost privacy for FL and you and DH should and will check in FL. That sucks.

Yea SS used to pull this sh*t with me too.  Things that I knew were purposely taken but couldn't prove until he moved out.

I'm glad your DH is cleaning up his son's mess.
