Bloody Show Questions.

Posted on 3rd trimester board, as well:

Hello ladies. I woke up this morning with a hard belly and a brown, thick discharge in my underwear. I have already lost my mucous plug (I am pretty sure). From what I can find online something with a brown color like this so close to my due date (due on June 27th) is more than likely the bloody show. The websites I found say this is totally different from the mucus plug and while the mucus plug is not a great indicator of labor the bloody show is supposed to be an indicator of labor in the next few days. Any experiences with this? Just curious. I know some people think that the mucus plug and bloody show are the same thing but others say the mucus plug is totally different and clear or yellow while the bloody show is... well... bloody. TMI, I know. Thanks

I'm pretty sure that they are two different things. I had my bloody show on Thursday and I'm still waiting. My due date is tomorrow.

I shouldn't Google these things because the info. is all so contradictory and confusing! A bunch of websites said that the bloody show usually indicates that labor is very close but so many ladies are saying that is NOT what happened for them. I am starting to wonder if I had my bloody show. I mean, how do you know? I am just anxious to get the show on the road so I don't have to be induced with like my first DS.
