  Well does it have the baby's name, birth date, weight, etc., all that stuff that normally comes on an announcement? If it does, then that's all that is needed.

  This. As long as it gives details about baby then you don't need a personal message.  Mine don't.

  Ours has the name and stats and then at the bottom printed it has a message from us with our names. I did not write anything personal on them.
