Personally, I was a little creeped out by this when I first heard about it, but now I am more open to the idea. I think little girls should know that breastfeeding is normal. Still think the bra thing is weird though.

I am PRO BFing, NIP etc. Little girls emulate their mommies and so I get where this doll is coming from. That said, I'm not sure that I'm all for this. I mean one, a little girl can 'Mimic" BFing without having a specially designed doll for it and I am most offended by the fact that the name of the doll in the article translates to gluttonous baby. WTF

The idea is fine I guess but the halter top with the daisies creeps me out and the name is awful (Bebe Gloton) but maybe the translation is different in Spain.

I don't see the need for a special BFing baby doll, but if it encourages a discussion about BFing being normal then I'm all for it.

I wouldn't buy one for my kids, unless they asked, but I see nothing wrong with them. I'm all for normalizing BFing. Then again, my kids own a ton of Bratz dolls. I used to be against them, then I realize I was giving a toy too much power. They aren't going to learn how to act/dress from a doll, they're going to learn that from the positive roll models in their life.

I suppose that is true. I still find them horrifying.

I always have a momentary pause when I read "normalizing breast feeding." BFing is normal as far as I know. Maybe this isn't true everywhere, but I'm the only one in my social circle who didn't BF a minimum of 6 months (1-2 years is normal). I've been trying to unload some Similac I was given for months!

Your local food bank or women's shelter would probably love the Similac. I plan on donating a couple cans that I have and can't use.
