Just starting to plan my shower and I'm wondering how many is too many invitees? I am planning just to have one big shower rather than smaller ones for different sets of friends (church, college, work related, etc) thanks for any input!!!!

Re: How many is too many?
Ask your hostess how many guests she can accommodate; that answer will give you a good guideline.
IMHO, once you get above 25 people, the shower is too big and not as much fun. Also, keep in mind showers are gift-giving events, and you really don't need to invite, say, everyone you work with, everyone you went to school with, etc. Often, churches and workplaces will do their own shower thing.

ask your hostess how many she is comfortable with, it really depends on location and what she can afford!

I would max out at 25-30. But I much much prefer something smaller, like 10-15.
The more people you have, the harder it is to get in quality time with any individual, the more overwhelming the gift-opening is (for you and for everybody who is bored watching you open 10,000 things!), the more stress on the hostess, and the more it just feels like a big impersonal assembly line.

Sounds like a good number! Enjoy your day!
