I just donated between 70 and 80 oz of BM to a five week old who is ill and mom can't BF. I know I shouldn't be bragging about this, but I have this happy high going. On right now an wanted to share somewhere... And there's no place better then the bump for news like this...
Re: AW because I just did something awesome.
Emerson Kate born 4/6/12, 5 lbs. 13 oz. 18 3/4 inches.
Happily expecting Baby Mac #2 around 4/13/14
DD1- 12/26/05 DD2- 4/12/12
that is awesome. I hope to be able to do that at some point.
I know here you can contact the hospital, they send you a questionaire (online) you submit blood work then work through the Denver Milk Bank (and we aren't in colorado- it's just one of the big ones).
There's also a lot of private donation groups on fb
Our hospital is in the process of getting a milk bank but they are still short funding.
That is awesome and inspiring!
I hope I will be able to do the same. I pump but rarely use it since I'll be home with J until mid-January so I really hope to be able to donate some of my milk.
I once had a picture until the trolls showed up.
