Do you feel guilty when you kill bugs?

If they are in my house they are fair game, but I don't intentionally try to kill them when they are outside/

This.  I especially don't feel guilty when I make my DH or Son kill spiders.

Same here, except when they are ants inside the house... Somehow I have no remorse for those.

  • Not at all in the house, like you mentioned. Outside I'll ignore them. Certain bugs I won't kill at all. When I pregnant a ladybug lived on the ceiling in my bedroom for months. I think they're good luck.

  • Yes, unless they're known mean bigs (wasps, ticks), then I feel like I accomplished something.

  • Inside the house, I kill roaches, mosquitos and bad spiders (brown recluses, brown widows, etc) but I usualyl escort the rest outside. Palmetto bugs (huge fatty roaches for non floridians) I usually try to put back outside but if they stink at me then I usually get mad and smash em.

Outside the house, I usually leave most well enough alone although I do put down a perimeter spray every six months that keeps most things away. I will actively pursue and kill bad spiders though because they love to nest on my patio.
