I'm hoping to pick the brains of some experienced babywearers. I've just started trying out my Butterfly II with DD. She's too big for the infant insert already, so I stick her in there without it. She seems comfortable in there and often falls asleep. Anyway, the first time I took her out (I heard her have an explosive poo, so she needed changing), she SCREAMED as soon as she was out. We're talking the same kind of scream she did when she got a shot at the pedi. I thought maybe she was upset from the pooping (it was a huge one). The next day, however, same thing. Fine in the carrier, heartbreaking scream upon removal. We tried again today, same thing. What's going on??? She sounds like she's in pain, which makes me reluctant to try it again, but I'd like to use a carrier that is simpler and more comfortable than our Moby. Can anyone offer any insight?

Re: Is the Beco hurting my LO?
Sounds this way to me, too. If she does this again, maybe you could try putting her right back in to see if she stops crying. She could just love the Beco!
Not seeing how you are wearing it etc I can't judge for sure, but could her leg be falling asleep and the movement of getting her out "wakes" it up and baby doesn't like that feeling? So it wouldn't be hurting while she was in, but adjusting to coming out is unpleasant?
It's also possible she just likes it and doesn't want to get out.
Hmm... I wonder if that's what it is. She's too little for legs out, so she's froggied in there. Huh. Well, I'm not sure what to do about that, I guess. It will probably work when she's bigger, but I'd like a quick to put on carrier now. =(
Have you tried a ring sling? That's my "go to" quick to put on carrier.
But if she's froggied correctly her legs should be fine. Maybe try wearing her for shorter periods and see if you still get the same reaction.
