So I keep reading/hearing about cluster feeding, but I'm confused by it. I have a 4 week old (will be 5 on Wed) and he's only giving us about 2-3 hours in between feedings at night, and then it usually takes him about an hour to go back down. He's taking 4oz at every feeding, so how does cluster feeding work? We usually put him down for the night around 10, does that mean we give him 4 oz every hour before or just 1 oz? This is probably easy to figure out, but in my sleep deprivation I just can't. Thanks in advance!

Re: XP: Cluster Feeding Confusion
Agree with the previous post. My LO cluster feed for about a week around a month probably. Basically she kept being hungry in the evening about an hour after her last feeding. It didn't necessarily correlate to longer sleeping at night for us.
What has led to longer sleeping is my LO eating for about an hour straight before she goes to bed, but that is also led by her, she just won't stop eating for a LONG time. But she's been sleeping 8 hours straight this week so I won't complain.
This for us too
THIS. And ours lasted over a week, I kid you not. And it sure as hell did not equate more sleep at night either.
