i was running some errands at christmas tree shop & witnessed something so disturbing. i wanted to say something to the guy but i didn't b/c he seemed so angry, i was actually scared he might hurt me.
it was a father, mother, son (about 7-8) and daughter (about 10-12)
the father was yelling at the little boy about giving away one of his toys to his friend or cousin. he was saying "well, i bought you a toy & you gave it to joshua. that's some real f*g sh*t, are you gay, are you a f*g. i buy you a toy & u give away to another boy, are you a f*g). the little boy just wasn't saying anything but you could see the hurt & sadness in his eyes. the mother did NOTHING & the little girl was just tuning it out listening to her headphones.
it makes me so upset that parents are still raising their kids with such hurt & hatred in their heart. i wish i would've said something but i think if i did the guy would've caused a scene & cursed me out in front of my own 6 month old & i didn't want to risk that or scare her.
Re: vent: outraged at other parents
And what kind of an insult is that? Maybe he's in the closet and is scared about it?
Fastest year of my life.
This thread is terrible, understandable how people want to stay out. In your circumstance though this is your neighbor did you call child services? If that's what you hear, what horrible stuff is hidden? Just saying perhaps you should.
I agree, how awful!
I totally agree. If you hear signs of physical abuse, that should be reported immediately.
This whole thread makes my heart sick and makes me want to rescue all those kids.
